AGM

It's the AGM party game and musical chairs, everyone has moved. Peter Hollis is now Chairman, with Alex Forty as Vice, say no more. Some folks were a bit slow moving, the Doddington Hill Billies, so Don is still President, ably organised by our treasure Hilda. I know there's an 'r' missing, but I know who my friends are… Alan was late sitting down, guess who the new Secretary is? Alan. I was pushed and ended up with the Editor's job, that's me John. People who stumbled or fell before the music stopped are on the committee and they are Lynn Morgan, Brenda Banner, Ann Ward, Lionel Lench, Andy Morgan and Neil Crabbe who was elsewhere but someone kindly saved him a seat. Thanks were expressed for the work done by last year's committee, in particular to Andy as Chairman and Hilda as treasurer.

At the AGM, it was voted to change the rules to read "The committee will comprise of no more than twelve members including officers" - carried unanimously.

Congratulations and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a dear friend of the Guild Mrs Elizabeth Mills, she's a very young and modest 90 year old.

Alice in Wonderland

Rehearsals are going excellently. The construction is under way. Thanks to Joe Field: we have use of his workshop at his son in law's farm out at Martley. The costume makers are under staffed. We are DESPERATE FOR HELP, please contact Brenda, Hilda or Lynn if you can assist. The Publicity group have lots of exciting plans. Alex Forty is arranging a super duper program, which he is hoping will be paid for by advertising sponsorship. If you know anyone who will advertise, please contact Alex.

Subscriptions

Auntie Hilda feels lonely up on the Clee Hills and a little money would reassure her. If you have not already sent her you subs, please do. A note to new members: You must pay subs to be a member and be covered for insurance purposes. If you are not insured by us you cannot appear on stage. To avoid having to recast parts, we expect everyone to be a paid up member by 1st May, Neil Crabbe will be chasing you and will accept your subs.
