How do you do everyone, hope you are well.

AGM

We held the AGM and have a new committee, thanks to Alex for being Chair last year. And welcome to the new committee with Neil Crabbe as chairman, Maggie Patten as vice chair person, Auntie Hilda as the treasurer, Don playing himself as President, Alan the secretary also Peter Hollis, Lynn Morgan, Lionel Lench, Brenda and John Banner, Alex Forty and a big welcome to Chris Philips (he wishes he'd sat on the corner and kept quiet), also we hope Matt Green will join us soon.

Two major pieces of news from the AGM:

One Act Plays

The evening of One Act Plays at Lickhill was an outstanding success. Almost The Bride of Dracula was really funny and well acted by Chris Philips (Dracula), Bernadette Godsell (The Vamp), Maria Bettridge (Dream girl) and mums and dad played by Joan Wallis, Maggie Patten and Morgan Price. They were all superb, well done.
Going Nowhere by Alan Williams, did almost go nowhere. At the last minute Alan had to dropout because he damaged his cruciate ligament while skiing (here comes the pun) a lame excuse if ever I heard one. Nevertheless Jay Caldwell, as the producer, was able to stand in. It was a very thought provoking play and well performed by Meggie O'Neill, Staci Hyde, Luci Townley and of course Jay. All of whom were very good - thankyou and well done.

And Then There Were None

'And Then There Were None' by Agatha Christie rehearsals are in full swing and it is really beginning to take shape, I think the director is ever so slightly pleased with everyone.
Come and Support us at Areley Kings Village Hall on 3rd,4th and 5th June for 7.30 pm. Tickets £5.50 and concessions £4.00

Social Events

SOCIAL EVENTS - mainly fund raising as we need the money to keep going:
2nd/3rd July - An actathon, 24 hours at the hut, acting - see Alan or Chris Philips.
21st July - 'Going Nowhere' at Kidderminster Festival, see Alan for tickets.
23rd July - Car Boot sale at the Wobbly Wheel. Brenda needs more items to sell, so turn out your drawers. Get in touch if you have anything.
An auction - Alan has already got some good Football Memorabilia prizes as a basis but we do need more prizes. A trip round the world will do, or some other valuable idea.
The end of August - a Barbeque.
10th Sept - a Skittles evening.
November 25th, 26th & 27th - `Winnie the Pooh' - auditions in July for our all star cast.
Any other fund raising ideas, tell Neil, Maria or Morgan - they've suggested a Themed Night, which sounds exciting.

Subs

Auntie Hilda is waiting for the forgetful ones to confess their sins and pay up.
