Three months since our last newsletter. Lots has happened or not happened in some cases:
We didn't play skittles due to lack of support
Nor did we have a float in the carnival. Everything was in place for the float but then fate decided to take a hand and blow the top off Caroline's engine as she and Jay zoomed up the M5. Luckily no-one was hurt but Caroline was was shaken, leaving too little time to decorate the float. We hope you are fully recovered Caroline and feeling better.
We did have a barbeque at Lynn and Andy's which for the few who went was very enjoyable and we made a profit, thanks Lynn and Andy.
Alan's play Going Nowhere was performed as part of the Kidderminster Festival in July - Meggie O' Neill, Staci Hyde and Luci Townley gave a mature performance and improved on what was already a good performance in Lickhill, well done ladies.
The car boot sale was a great success and raised over £92.00. It was a glorious sunny day and Brenda, Hilda, Maggie, Don and John sat and sun bathed while people gave them money, it doesn't get much better than that.
Winnie the Pooh is now cast and well under way with rehearsals.
The cast is as follows: Frankie Morgan is Pooh; Harry Dukes is Christopher Robin; Lily Crook is Piglet; Sophie Turner is Eeyore; Jay Caldwell is Tigger; Bernadette Godsell is Roo; Katy Ball is Owl; Morgan Price is Rabbit; Maggie Patten is Nan and we have Emily Hough, Staci Hyde, Luci Townley, Gemma Thompson, Georgia Patrick and Tara Bell as rabbits and other characters.
Lots of new members, we're glad you have joined us. Also we have proper choreographers in Staci Hyde and Luci Townley. Matt Green and Maria Bettridge are stage managers and Alex Forty is already doing a superb job of publicity.
